We have 162 Demon Slayer products in stock this morning. Eight of them are demons. The show has the word in the title, the whole plot is about the things Tanjiro is hunting, and the figure industry has spent six years sculpting the hunters instead. That imbalance is the entire point of this post, because Halloween is ten days away, and the one week a year when the villains deserve the shelf is the one week the shelf is usually full of heroes.
So here is our last-minute Halloween shelf: twelve picks, every one under $30, every one physically in stock at the time of writing (we re-check before this goes live, and we will say when something is down to a handful). We lean toward villains, demons and ghouls on purpose. If you want a pumpkin, we have a pumpkin too, near the end. Everything below ships flat-rate for $5 in the US, and a lot of it is older stock that has been sitting patiently since 2021 or so, which is where the good prices come from.
The demons Demon Slayer keeps forgetting it has (picks 1 through 5)
Start with the obvious hole in most Demon Slayer collections. Everybody owns a Tanjiro. Almost nobody owns the people he fought, and that is a shame, because the demon figures are where the sculptors got to have fun.
1. SEGA Akaza SPM Figure (Mugen Train), $28.95. Upper Rank Three, looking back over his shoulder at Rengoku, from the film that broke the Japanese box office record. SEGA's SPM line is the big-box prize format, so you get roughly eight inches of figure and the full pink tattoo work on his arms for under $30. This is the single best villain figure we have under thirty dollars and it has been sitting on our shelf since 2021 at the same price. Grab it from our prize figure collection while it still is.
2 and 3. SEGA Nesoberi Daki and Gyutaro lay-down plush, $26.99 each. Upper Rank Six, the sibling demons from the Entertainment District arc, in SEGA's six-inch lying-down plush format. Daki with the obi, Gyutaro with the scythes. The joke is that nesoberi plush are supposed to be cute and the Gyutaro one is faintly horrifying, which is exactly correct for the character. Buy them as the pair; they fought as the pair.
4. SEGA Enmu plush keychain, $14.99. Lower Rank One, the dream demon who fused himself into the Mugen Train, now a soft keychain that stares at you with those sideways eyes. Twelve left. It is the cheapest way to put the Mugen Train villain on your bag and it makes a very good stocking-stuffer-style add-on to the Akaza above.
5. Banpresto World Collectable Figure Vol. 2, the Asakusa demons, $11.99 each. This is the one for people who actually watched season one carefully. Vol. 2 of the WCF line covers the Asakusa arc (episodes 8 to 10) and we have four of the five figures in stock: Tamayo (six left), Yushiro (seven), Susamaru with her temari balls (seven), and the arrow demon Yahaba (nine). Tamayo and Yushiro are demons who help Tanjiro, which is the kind of distinction only a fan cares about, and that is why they are great Halloween shelf pieces: they are demons on a technicality. At $11.99 these are the cheapest figures in this post. Here is the Tamayo, Yushiro, Susamaru and Yahaba.
Shelf pairing: all five sit well in front of the rest of our Demon Slayer shelf, and if you already own the SEGA Akaza, the Daki and Gyutaro plush frame it nicely.
Villain of the year, and two things you can clip to a bag (picks 6 through 8)
6. Banpresto The Evil Villains Vol. 4 Tomura Shigaraki, $26.99. My Hero Academia wrapped its final season this year, and the villain who carried it is the one figure in this post we would call essential for a Halloween shelf. The Evil Villains line is Banpresto's dedicated bad-guy prize series, and this is the classic hands-all-over-him Shigaraki at about six inches, with the dead-eyed stare the sculpt gets right. It is also tagged into our Halloween Gift Guide collection, so we are not alone in thinking this. If you want to go deeper on the League, the My Hero Academia shelf has the rest.
7 and 8. ChottoMinute Sukuna keystrap and Pochita jelly keystrap, $15 each. These are acrylic keystraps from an indie line we picked up in 2024, and they are the two best cheap spooky characters we carry: the King of Curses, and a chainsaw dog that is also the devil. Pochita in translucent jelly acrylic is a weirdly good object. They are not figures and we are not pretending they are; they are the thing you hand a friend who does not collect but does watch. Here is the Sukuna keystrap and the Pochita jelly keystrap.
Tokyo Ghoul is the actual Halloween anime (picks 9 through 11)
Demon Slayer is a Halloween anime by accident. Tokyo Ghoul is one on purpose: a mask, a boy who becomes the monster, a city where the monsters run a coffee shop. It also has the honest problem that most of its merch went out of print years ago, so what we have is small and we are glad to have it.
9. Nendoroid Plush Ken Kaneki plush pillow, $24.99. Good Smile's Nendoroid Plush line turns the chibi head into a soft pillow, and the Kaneki one has the eyepatch-and-mask look that is basically a Halloween costume already. This is the newest item in the post (it landed in February) and we have seven. Kaneki pillow here.
10. Nendoroid Pin Touka Kirishima #19, $14.99. The pin comes with a small standee that clips onto a standard Nendoroid base, so it works as a display piece, not just a lapel pin. Touka's rabbit mask is the best mask in the series and this is the cheapest way to own it.
11. Funko POP! Tokyo Ghoul:re Toru Mutsuki #1127, $11.99. We say plenty of skeptical things about POPs on this blog, so credit where it is due: the :re POPs are from 2022, nobody is reprinting them, and eleven dollars for a Quinx character almost no other line bothered with is a fair deal. Eleven left. The Tokyo Ghoul collection has the rest of what survived.
The literal Halloween pick, plus a blind box and a pumpkin (pick 12 and the extras)
12. FiGPiN Tenya Iida [Halloween] #592, $20.99. This is the only anime item we carry with "Halloween" in the name, and it is a good one: Iida in costume, a limited edition of 3,000 pieces, from the 2021 wave of My Hero Academia pins. We have five, and it lives in The Back Room, which means it is 30% off automatically at checkout through November 30 (no code needed), so the real price is closer to $14.70 for a numbered pin. If you collect FiGPiN at all, this is the one to take.
The extras, because not everyone wants a villain:
The blind box. The WAKUKU Fox & Bunny Trick or Treat blind box, $20.99, is the Halloween series from the brand we compared to Labubu a couple of weeks ago, and it is the single most seasonal thing in the store: costumed WAKUKU in fox and bunny trick-or-treat outfits. There is a $9.99 magnet version too. The rest of our blind box wall is here if you want to pull something else.
The pumpkin. Fiesta's 8-inch Pumpkin Spice Latte plush, $9.99, is a smiling pumpkin latte cup, which is both a plush and a bit. There is a $4.99 key clip if you need something under five dollars for a party favor. More soft things in plush and cushions.
The non-anime exception. We will allow one. Funko's POP! Rides Jack Skellington in Snowmobile, $29.95, settles the Halloween-or-Christmas argument by being both, there are three left, and it is also in The Back Room at 30% off. For the under-$12 crowd, Sam from Trick 'r Treat is $11.99 and is the most Halloween object Funko ever made.

How to spend it
If you have $30: the Akaza. It is the best sculpt here and the most villain per dollar in the store. If you have $40 and would rather have three things: Enmu, one Asakusa demon, and the Pochita keystrap come to $41.98 before shipping, so drop the Enmu for Sam and you are at $38.98; or go Tamayo plus Yahaba plus the Pumpkin Spice plush for $33.97 and call it a party table. If you have $60: Shigaraki and the Kaneki pillow, which is a villain-and-ghoul pairing that covers two of the three biggest shows of the last decade. And if you collect pins, the Iida FiGPiN at the back-room price is the quiet best deal in this whole post.
Our point of view, since we sell this stuff and should say so: buy the villains this week. Heroes get restocked forever; the Daki and Gyutaro plush, the Asakusa WCFs and the :re POPs are from runs that ended, and once a line like that sells through, it is gone. The hero figures will still be here in November. The demons might not be.
Everything above ships for a flat $5 in the US, and if it is your first order with us, WELCOME10 takes 10% off at checkout. Browse the full Halloween Gift Guide or the $20 to $30 shelf for more.
